Default 1st Pic of new 2500 and am I missing Trim?

Went to Idaho (Dave Smith) and picked up my new 2013 2500 Big Horn Diesel and drove back to Washington yesterday. This morning I put on wheel to wheel nerfs. Loved the ride home yesterday - my first big Truck!! They could not get the Nav activated - looks like I need to go and get a new radio.

after 300+ mile trip - need to wash it - but here is the 1st pic from this morning (after Nerf install). The pictures do not do it justice!

Now the question -- when installing the nerfs i see some holes (three sets of two small hols) on the body (see example of 1st set of holes in the 2nd photo) just above where i install the nerfs -- to me it looks like some black molding shoud go there -- and wondering if it was left off my truck. Anybody know if there is some molding that goes here (on the side bottom from wheel to wheel). If not - what are the holes for?

I have a 2500 Big Horn and have the same holes. I have a set of Amp Research steps installed and they used four of the holes to mount the steps.

Gentlemen.

These holes are used with the factory Running boards/Nerf bars. It appears some aftermarket companies and also using them as well.

Those hold add to the support and overall feel of the step as you place weight onto it. I plan to purchase a set of 2013 Wheel to Wheel nerf bars myself and I will have to add these holes to my 09 as everything else is the same.

Yes there for the OEM Bars. I installed a set of wheel to wheel bars on my 13' and fasteners go through the hole and back into a clip in the brackets for the bars.
