Yeah buddy, just straight fishing line, sort of kept jigging it back and forth, no heat, and it would cut through the tape pretty good, make sure it's a strong test line though, as some of them are tough.

Then when you have the badges off, peel back a small corner and pull PARALLEL to the truck, this makes ALL the difference. Thanks to a board member for that piece of advice, saved me a LOT of time. As soon as you start, you will know what that means.

Then used a bit of Goo Gone and a rag to get the little bit of residue left over off. Piece of cake once you get going.

As for the Air Grabber, been very impressed with it. I can honestly notice a slight difference in the initial pick-up speed. As soon as I touch the gas, the truck takes off, seems to be a little more responsive off the start with the Air Grabber installed.

I reset my gauges today to see what the difference, if any, on the fuel consumption. Before I was averaging about 17.9 L/100km I believe but that is mainly city driving and I don't exactly take it easy... lol

Will update this in a week's time to see how the average is looking.
Chris, when I installed the Vararam on my truck, I noticed a decrease in MPG and it was more noticeable on the freeway vs the city driving.
Looking forward to seeing what you get

So after having this on for a while, I am gonna change it up a little and do the whole grille in black, this will include the surround and '+' in the middle so it looks as though the whole grille is one piece. If I don't like it, I figure I can just peel it off, ahhh... the power of plastidip!

I saw a video of a white 1500 similar to mine and it had the whole front black like I was pondering and I liked it. Will get an updated pic up when I get it done sometime this week.

This is the method I used and have sent to each and every member asking.
It is what Chris is talking about above and I actually used Goof Off (from HD) vs Goo Gone as it didn't work quite well and required some elbow grease.
The Goof Off literally wiped off the left over gunk

Here is the video I share and have used to do mine a year ago

It's really that easy when you know how to do it.

The first ones I did (4X4) took me FOREVER as I tried to peel it all off and not pulling on a 45 or parallel to the truck. Left so much stuff behind and my arms were burning from trying to rub it off!
