How can we tell if this problem extends to other vehicles?
I’m not usually a pessimist, but the lackluster response from Chrysler leads me to
concluded that we will know by the number of reports that are filed with the (NHTSA) and (the simple formula below), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and not by Chryslers proactive stance or there internal quality assurance.
This is how Auto Manufacturers calculate if there is a problem that necessitates a recall.
If X number of differentials freeze up and Y number cause accidents and Z number cause death or injury then If Z is less than the monetary cash payouts to the victims/injured than the projected cost to repair all these vehicles, then there is no problem according to Chrysler.
It’s not just Chrysler. This is the way of big Business!!
Every time I'm on the Highway and start to put my foot in it, I think about the Diff locking up and I ease up. Think Chrysler has come up with a good gas saving idea!!
