Will these tires give a lot of road noise, worse ride, worse gas milage?

With it being E rated, they're going to be really heavy. My D rated 35" General Grabbers on my Jeep with the rim were about 120lbs per tire, the tire alone was 88lbs. An E rated is designed for heavier loads therefore has more Plys. You won't get better gas mileage with more unsprung weight.

The ride also won't be better than what came stock, probably a 'C' rated tire, since there's more Plys it'll have less give to bumps on the road. You can combat this by getting some better Fox or Bilstein reservoir shocks but that's an extra $900.

Stock are P rated. No LT tire is going to be as light, ride as nice, or give as good of MPG as the stock tires. But then again, no LT is going to be as pitifully weak and totally worthless on a pickup as the stock P crappers either. Those tires that come on the new 1500's should be an embarrassment to Ram.

I lost 1-2 mpg with my Falken AT's (see sig). They do ride a little rougher than stock but not bad. No difference in road noise. 10 ply = no flats in the mountians and deserts...or at least it is rare.

with this tire size over the factory tire size, will the mud flaps need to be removed?

I would highly recommend a leveling kit if you want that big of a tire. Youre going to run into a lot of rubbing issues if you dont.
