I think you are correct on the allen key size, John. The problem was - the metal within the fitting was fairly soft - and the threads on the fitting were very tight to turn. So the allen socket simply rounded out the inside. Probably would have worked if it wasn't so tight to turn. Even once I was able to get a 9/16 socket on the outside of the fitting - it took considerable force to remove it (thread dope?)

I appreciate all the help I have received from TLC and this forum (I think I might have read every thread on this topic). Love the product - and can't say enough good things about it.

Mine were rusted, a quick shot of PB blaster and they came out with a bit of force.

Mine are leaking also and at the base of the quick connect, this should be something that should be checked before shipping them out, both leak the left side more than the right, I will have to pull all this apart lying on the ground in my driveway. So here is a Question, after 6 months of them being on the truck I also noticed this morning that the rubber mat that is glued to the air bag is unstuck and moving towards the front of the air bag, at this rate in a year they will fall off, is this a warranty issue, or do I now have to also check this issue so as not to loose the rubber pieces, and when I pull all this off, what do I do to glue this back to its location? if not under warranty and being under the truck I might as well fix that issue also, what should I use to glue them back so they don't come off anymore?

Here is a pic of what is going on.

if you deflate your bags completely, jack up the rear of the truck, you can pull that pad off. use some 3M double sided tape and stick it back on, thats what I did. I also found it works better if you stick it to the plate on the axle, rather than the airbag plate.

I want you guys to know that EVERY piece of feedback we get is used for R&D. We are taking these comments to heart and we really want you all (our customers) to be happy with the finished product. If there is anything else we can do for you, please dont hesitate to ask!

Got the valve replacements last week, spent the day Saturday pulling the bags off and installing the new valves, put in the pins that where sent to me, the ones for the front side of the bags need to be shortened as they will hit the support where the plate is attached to the Axel. right now they are re-installed with the new valves, they have not leaked since Saturday. My only issue now is that the right side bag the pins do not align with the holes in the plate and the air bag is skewed a bit, does not seem to hinder the bag but its sort of crooked. as if the holes should be more towards the outside of the truck about half an inch. I checked if I could move the plate over but there is no room to do it. Will see if it will seat itself over time. Thank you for the repair parts, I am happy my pump does not go off ever 5 min. If anyone has the same issue about the pins and the bag being off please let me know, will keep this updated over the next few weeks on the leaks.

Did they change mount plate design again ? What do your mounts look like and what pins are you referring to ? Just curious as I read the post that the bag actually shifted and the exhaust burnt a hole in it.
