If you get the diesel, it's a no go on the lifetime Max care.

My local dealer is being up front with me. They show me the invoice sheet with the invoice price and their hold back amount. They're willing to take 750 off the hold back and give me the invoice price (minus the 750 for holdback). So it's a good deal, Plus I'll get 1,000 off right away with my USAA discount.

What USAA discount? I'm a USAA member and didn't see the $1,000 out there for the 2014, only the 2013 unless they've updated it in the last week.

I negotiated via Costco car buying program. This is the first time I have used that - but I am VERY happy with it! I got $1,300.00 below invoice, plus they will add any incentives at time of delivery. I was literally in-and-out in 1/2 an hour. No hassle at all, very straight forward! If this all works out as easy as it appears, I will be using nothing but Costco from now on! Sure beats e-mailing dealers, driving all over the State and endless phone calls!

I sent in for a brochure too - hoping it comes with a coupon in it.

This is helpful to know. People get hung up on the whole "invoice" and "hold back" amounts. Dealers make money in other ways as well, especially with how knowledgable consumers have become in regards to the invoice and HB amounts.

Yeah, good call indeed.

Never even thought of the price-club route.

Costco was not nearly as good as True Car in my area. Costco offered right around invoice. True car offered $1000 below. In the end I got $1500 off invoice from a non True Car dealer by shopping via internet.

Default Costco Auto Program

I went to the dealer today, thru the Costco Auto Program. MSRP $53,360, FWP $48,871. Costco price was $1,100 below this Fleet wholesale Price for a 2500 Laramie 4x4.
