Default muffler swap

my friend suggested I get a Flowmaster 40 muffler swap to improve hp and gas efficiency? Is this a good thing?

on a dyno you would see minimal changes. and in person you woulndt notice anything at all. it will seem like you have more power because you will be stompin on it to hear the new exhaust, ha. so fuel milage will go down lol

but ya will give you a couple more hp not noticable enough

and also maybe half a mpg if that, if you did a cai, exhaust, tb, etc after everything totalled up you would start noticing a slight increase in milage not much tho

I dunno, but I added a Magnaflow 14" and a K&N CAI this weekend and couldnt be happier. The sound is amazing!!! As far as gas smileage not too sure yet as I have been romp'n on it a bit ever since lol.

Go with Cherry Bombs. Did notice a slight increase in mileage, but would agree ultimately the mileage goes down because you love the sound.

I would go with magnaflow, if you do look at mufflex from mufflex-performance and yes they do fit the 4.7 for 2009-2013 I asked them . Its a direct swap and bolt with no weilding needed. I have the dods18 on its way. Go look at you tube for sound clips and reserch the different mufflers and find a sound level you like .
