What software version is your radio using? My first 8.4AN had a very choppy backup camera. It was like watching low-quality convenience store security footage. After my radio was replaced the choppiness went away, but I don't know if that was due to having a completely new radio or the fact that it has the most current software.

Bump.

I have a '15 with ghosts in my radio and was wondering if those with '13s have had any luck resolving this.

Default Possible fix

I have been fighting with me dealership and they finally replaced the display in my 13 and have not had further issues yet.... Hopefully this is the end!

My 2014 Laramie backup camera is very sharp. I would love to be able to use it all the time while driving.
This is my first backup camera in a truck so I am still getting use to trusting it. Its more of old habits than anything. The front/rear sonar and backup camera is awesome.

What are the official measurements of those red, yellow and green lines????

I have a 2014 ram 1500, 8.4an using 14.24.05 software. It seems like only in cold weather, the unit will on occasion reset every 10 seconds. Specifically, it will switch to a screen that says aux input and then the screen will go black for a second (audio will stop) and then the screen returns to where it was. it is not like a power off, but more audio cut out and black screen. pretty consistent at 10 second intervals. if you turn off the truck for a minute or two, the problem may or may not go away. never saw this issue until temps dropped into 30's and below.

Just found this thread. I posted a new thread for random reboots. I have a 2013 Ram with the latest update. It usually happens after I start the truck. It will come on and then a minute later will reboot. It did it today and the screen went black. I ejected my SD card and then saw the screen come back. The other times it rebooted I did not have a SD card inserted with my MP3s. Are you guys still having issues?
