What electronics are fighting the mods? When you increase airflow in/out of the engine the pcm will increase fuel injector pulse width(duration that the injector is injecting fuel) to keep the same desired A/F ratio. The electronics work with mods, as long as they are within the pcm's range. Intakes/exhausts are within that range. All a tuner does is adjust ignition timing and sometime desired A/F ratio.

The stock exhaust on 4th gen rams, including the muffler, is all 409SS, so it should last the life of the truck, unless in extremely harsh conditions.

I just looked at the first pic again and that one rusted pipe is definitely not 409SS. My muffler didn't look like that when I cut it open, with about 75000 miles on it it had no rust, it was all SS.

I think it's good the Chrysler put duals on our trucks but the quality of the welds and the piping is shitty. Check them out on your duals by the tail pipes and check out the rust on them. They look like popcorn welds, ugliest welding jobs I've ever seen on a new vehicle. To the OP, good thread.

I can't say for sure as I don't know the sourcing of the pipe, but in the pic at the beginning of this thread everything appears to be SS except for that one baffle that is rusted badly. Also is possible that all three baffles are not SS and only 1 is rusting.
