I just traded my 20's on my big horn for 17's in my opinion 20" rims belong in the hood maybe under a caprice or a pimped out caddy..

I have both. I run the 20's in the warm weather and I have a set of winter tyres on 17's.

The 20's do not bother me in the least for ride quality. If I wanted a smoother ride I would have bought a lux car. Can't say I will ever go smaller than a 20 on my truck and have been considering 22's.

Unless you're running monster (37+") sized tires or have a dropped 2WD, 17s with offroad tires are my preference.

not reading all the threads, but for any that stop by, 20 inch wheels, will give a better crisp handling due to a smaller sidewall. 17 in wheel, smother ride due to more sidewall to flex. 20 inch wheels...tires more dollars....17 inch wheel better tire selection and less dollars.

So I'm going to get rims/snow tires for winter on my '13. The truck has 20's on it now, but I'd like to go with 17's for Winter. I'm assuming this shouldn't be a problem as 17" is a stock size as well? As long as I get the tire diameter the same, I should be good?

Thanks,
Mike

the bolt pattern is all that needs to match up for your rims.. the bigger the tire is, is when your worry about rubbing.. stock you wont get much bigger than 33's... with a level.. 35's

If your truck comes with 20" than a 18" can be a better match (265/70/18 vs 275/60/20) than the 17" 275/70/17

I ended up going with a 285/70-17... Almost the same size as stock. Just a little more money... They should be in today, just in time since it snowed last night!
