what a joke. ANY MOPAR part you install on your vehicle will not. WILL NOT void warranty. the Mopar parts and accessories actually come with a warranty and will fall under your current vehicle warranties. your vehicle is Mopar no reason you cant put something made by Mopar for your Mopar.

thats like saying hey you can buy my xbox but if you use a controller it will void your warranty like come on !

i think that guy needs to get his stuff in order.

Is the fastener you refer to on the side of the glove box or the fire wall?

Thanks Plum. I'll be checking that out later. I don't want to tear something up in the process of making an improvement.

Our business has a 2012 3500 RAM that I will be doing this mod on. It however has no cover below the fan motor and will be easy to access.

Besides keeping dust from collecting on the interior of the trucks, I am hoping this will be an aid to keep the A/C evaporator coil clean too. We had to have the evap. coil replaced on our 2008 RAM 2500 because it became plugged with all the dust flowing over the damp coil. Dust turns to mud then the coil becomes blocked over time. There is no mod like this for our older trucks. I've instructed my employees to leave the air flow on recircuate to avoid this when using the A/C.
You have to pull the entire dash out to replace the heater or A/C coil and it becomes a very expensive repair at the dealership.

I did this mod on my '13 Sport, and it was probably the best mod I've done yet. There used to be dust on my dash and black leather seats all the time, now it is way better. Highly recommended!!

It does kind of suck that you have to do this yourself, but it is fairly easy to do. Took me about 1/2 hour to complete the install. IMHO, it's worth it.

I just got the kit from Gino's Garage it came with a WIX 24578 filter instead of the Mopar 05058693AA, theyr'e supposed to be the same but I'm having problems getting the filter into the opening, it won't go all the way in.
Anybody else have a similar problem?
