Default Good price

I believe you got a great price on the 04 diesel. My comfort level will stay with the 5.9's. I have a diesel specialist on the 99 who helps me maintain it. I just rebuilt the tranny. I think you are quite correct to go for a 2 wheel drive (it's all you need). The only time I put mine in 4 wheel is to come up my steep drive with a truck on the hauler. Best of luck with your purchase. R...

Well I guess all things happen for a reason.

I was sitting there in the office about to start signing paperwork when my gut told me something wasn't right about all of this. So I put the brakes on everything and started to redo some of the numbers on my truck.

Anyways at the end of the day because of the age of the 04 it was actually going to be a much worse outcome for me in the long run to buy it (rather them pay me to drive it off). Basically the amount I was going to refinance at a higher rate would have killed any reason for me to sell my current one even though the payment was lower. According to the bank my credit score is super it's just the trucks age that is the only factory for the high interest rate.

So after a few hours of hashing things out with numbers on my truck, the loan, payments, and amount I have paid so far, it made more sense to keep my orange truck.

Honestly I am in limbo.. my head hurts from all of this crap but hopefully I am making the right choice. At the end of the day at least I still have a reliable truck.

bro, i would just keep the 09, definately makes more sense to me.

think of it this way, at the end of the day, all you have is some guys word the truck was taken care of. for all you know that thing could have been run into the ground honestly. 136k is nothing for a cummins with MAINTENANCE, but if dude didnt maintain it or it was in a nasty wreck and then fixed, you could be buying someone elses problem.

With the 09, you have already been in it for awhile so you know what you have. Stability and reliability of transportation for your daughter is more important than the miniscule amt (if any) you would have saved on the trade. When the 09 is paid for your truck may only be 10 years old (or so), but the 04 would likely be pushing 20 years old. no brainer to me bro.
