That's about the best you will get. My 2001 5.9 gets between 9-10 city and 15 hwy i did get 16.3 once but thats because I was going down hill in Pennsylvania. I have tried tune ups coil mopar 02 sensors, gas treatments, you name any myth ive tired. Its the nature of the beast with this truck, but its hard to kill the engines. I have 150,000 and its like brand new

Must be the fuel for the 98. I switched over to BP the last tank and at fill up, the hand calc came to 11.5 mpg for 87 octane.

Maybe I'll fuel the diesel at BP (Kroger points get's me up to .20 per gallon off though). Last tank of Diesel, I fueled at 560 miles on the trip meter using Kroger diesel, with a 1/4 tank left on the gauge. R...

Thats about what I get, 12 usually if I go easy I can just get 14mpg
