Angry 3 alignments in 6 mos and throttle stuck!

576 miles and it needs an alignment already??!! Plus the auto headlights wouldn't come on.

8200 miles throttle stuck..dealer ordered and installed a new throttle pedal sensor.

About 1000 later...it's back for another alignment and they measured the tread left on the tires.

A MONTH later..we call them again and we are told that Goodyear would reimburse $500 towards a new set but we have to front the $. First of all..I don't want another set of crappy Goodyears and second..why won't the dealership front the money? O...that's because Goodyear has screwed them so many times out of reimbursements that they won't do it anymore.

I called Chrysler to complain and never heard from the dealer. I was advised to try another dealer...that dealer said it was out of align AGAIN!

Anyone else having similar issues and what did you do???

I got rid of my crapyears as soon as I could, I knew how crappy they was so was on the hunt for some summers that would fit the bill. As for the alignment problem, might of been the tires doing it, not sure, no issue on alignment with my 2012 and its been over a year.

Yeah, I would definitely try a new service department because 4 wheel alignments is 3 too many. I've got over 18K on my 2012 4x4 with Bilsteins @ 2.1" up front and have had only 1 alignment done because of the leveling kit. Obviously, I did not trust a dealer service department to do my alignment so I took it to a very reputable alignment shop that was recommended by the offroad Jeep community. They got it right the first time because when I got it done, I only had 5000 miles on my truck.

I assumed the dealer would know how to perform an alignment...obviously I was wrong but being under warranty I figured I had to go there or it would void the warranty??

As much as I would like to hope our service departments have a Certified Alignment Specialist, or just a plain old Master Mechanic that knows proper camber, caster, and toe adjustments for unusual situations such as yours,
most of the wheel alignments done at a dealership are made to be adjusted to O.E. specifications so as to maintain that factory warranty. Any deviation outside manufacturer specifications may and can void a warranty claim. When most of us aftermarket guys start our mods to our trucks, (i.e., leveling or lift kits), the need for a performance shop in performing such wheel alignments is recommended due to years of steering and suspension experience. And yes, guys like me don't care very much about warranty when mods begin. If my truck gets through its first year hiccup free, I'm a happy camper. I do hope you get your truck fixed right because it is a shame that service dept. human error is always the cause to an even more remorseful buyer.

Where are the tires wearing? Can you post a copy of the alignment sheet?

My 12 has 25k miles on it. I have all serv records and it has not had alignment, and the tires are wearing like steel. Will replace mine when tax time gets here. I have always hated good year tires. I am going to yoko tires. I know they are not the best, but I have ran 2 set of theirs and a friend is on his 3. They wear like steel and ride like a cady.

On a side note: If you took it to an alignment shop it will not void your warranty. ALSO every machine will register differently. BUT if it was done on the same machine it may give very slight different readings.
