Any further progress in finding a lower profile for the fin?

I think relocate existing is the best bet. A couple plastic caps with silicone and you'd never worry about it again.... now... where to relocate????

The two way communications antenna is in the fin so if your truck has uConnect you will have the shark fin.

The antenna is on the driver's side to avoid possible damage from, for example, low-hanging tree limbs.

Their e-mail support is stupid fast. I have not checked myself on my truck, but hopefully someone here can figure it out for everyone concerned about it.

Reply from their support staff, with regards to swapping the stock shark fin for the UConnect 8.4/RA4:

"If you can somehow pull down your headliner and check to see what cable is leading into the antenna we could give you a legitimate answer.

If there is a single yellow connector coming off the antenna then yes our antenna will work perfect. If there are two connectors (yellow and white) then unfortunately it will not work."

My dilemma as well:

Also looking for a low profile solution for my 2014, not so much for looks but for the extra 1-2" of clearance. With a lift my truck will be too close to hitting the garage opening for my comfort.

Yes. And I just completed my swap-out yesterday. Since I have XM and Uconnect, I had to split mine out to accomplish what's needed. Here's what I used as the low-profile replacement for the XM:

MOPAR Manufacturer Part Number: 5064973AB

I bought mine off eBay. Fits perfect, and is an exact match for the hole in the roof. Satellite reception is great. I connected the yellow connector from my wiring harness that went to the fin, to the lo-pro replacement antenna. I left the purple connector on the sharkfin and am relocating it inside the vehicle. That's for Uconnect. (the vertical component that's up inside the "fin"). I'm relocating that to the interior of the vehicle near the forward passenger side of the dash. I've noticed through experimentation that I still have adequate Uconnect communication with the vertical sharkfin piece inside the vehicle. It's the satellite portion that was horrible inside the vehicle. Anyway, I'm much happier with this setup. Hope this helps.
