Default new head lifter chattering, PLEASE HELP,!!!

just had new heads installed on my 03 ram 4.7,, for the first start-up in the morning I get a bad lifter chatter for at least the first 10-minutes,, it will also chatter after it cools down during the day just does not chatter for as long,, as long as it is running & warm it does not have that chattering,, the dealer suggest having the lifters replaced,, is it possible to have faulty lifters on new not reman head,,

Yeah, it's possible. What weight of oil are you running?

the 5w30. that is what it calls for,, I was told too put a can of that engine RESTORE in with a fresh oil change,, I forgot to include that in my original posting,, It actually worked for two to three days,, I heard no noise at all, after a few days it was slowly begging to start that chattering noise again so I went back to just the 5w30, I really don't want to throw a bandage on it,,

We'll, you've got the right oil in it. Engine restore is exactly that, a bandaid. It's sounding like you need to take it back to whoever put the heads on and tell them to fix it.

Agreed. Any reputable shop will have a warranty on all parts.
