In the pictures it looks like there is an air dam that goes down in front of the radiator.
Does this intake restrict air flow to the radiator?

No, it only covers the very top of the radiator, I would say around 98% of the radiator is still exposed. To the best of my knowledge no one has had any overheating or high temp issues with one of these...

The active grille shutter cladding covers as much as the shroud does. I haven't had any cooling issues and it's been well into the 90's for a couple months.

The intake looks good and it's pretty cool they're sending you the other piece free of charge

I'm guessing you weren't referring to me? I paid 50.00 bucks to upgrade the intake tube and front plastic dam.

You went with it because it's better.........Don't 2nd guess yourself, I did when I had my 3rd gen so I got the Vararam and ended up sending it back after months of getting new parts for it and trying to get it to fit properly.
