Default Won't shut off

I had my truck in for a check engine light, something with Fan circuit 1 + 2 but they couldn't find any problems? I started the truck and drove off when I stopped to get gas I turned the key off and pulled it out and the engine was still running! Stayed running until I opened the door! Anyone ever hear of this?
Thanks Skip

Sounds to me like someone was playing with the wiring, and connected the ignition to the Accessory Relay by mistake.

Hmm, I did some wiring last weekend for a backup camera but all was working until today. I'll have to take a look tomorrow to see if all is still the way it was.
Thanks for your thought.

Have to agree.

Even though you installed a something that doesn't have anything to do with running the truck you might have disturbed something that does.

A second look would be a good idea.

Thanks for the suggestion, I disconnected all the connections for the auto dim mirror and backup camera and it corrected the problem.
I then reconnected the mirror - still ok - I then reconnected the backup camera and the problem was back, so I disconnected 1 wire at a time to find I had a double FUSED IGNITION RUN/START CONTROL OUTPUT wired - 1 for the mirror and 1 for the backup camera. I guess the camera and the mirror wiring are intertwined.
Everything is working as it should now.
I am still confused as to why it worked ok for week?

Thanks again

Eh.. electricity is weird but something might be arching.

I really don't know as I have come to hate electrical problems.
