Default Debadging my 2010 Sport CC

Ive been looking into this and reading all the posts in the forumz here, but I cant seem to find out how to remove the front badge that is recessed in the center of the grille.

What I would like to do is remove it and Plastidip, so I would like to get it out in one piece. Can anyone tell me the ancient chinese secret to do this?

I also understand that the tailgate badge will leave 3 alignment holes if left removed, but can I fit a the small badge in its place that comes on the big horn models?

Well grasshopper- please sit down and breathe deeply while I impart the wisdom of the ages.
I can't speak with any authority on a 2010 but on my 2013 I did the following:
pop the hood
shine a flashlight down the opening where the hood latch is
look for the 6 little plastic retaining tabs
reach arm down the rabbit hole and work the tabs open.
At this point it should have popped off.... but there was a postage stamp size of 3M tape holding it tight.
wiggle that and pops right off.

that said- you can plastidip it right in place- I did that on the tail emblem and it was a simple tape job.
Have fun.

Unfortunately no, this will probably not be possible. I say this, because the rear emblem is recessed within the tailgate or the entire size of the rear emblem.

The smaller badge may cover up the alignment holes, but I doubt it would be big enough to cover the entire recession.

Have you considered going with the Ram Eyes, rather than just removing the rear emblem? It makes it (arguably) sort of functional at that point.

Below is a link to the thread that I started when I did my Ram Eyes

Good luck

Exco
