Sorry I couldn’t respond to your PM, I don’t have enough posts to qualify yet.
A nightmare indeed sir. In my case the both front and rear entire axle assemblies were replaced including rotors. I’ve heard from service managers that Chrysler is doing both gears and/or full assemblies depending on parts availability. I have an 8-speed, and no re-programing was involved with the swap, IMO, there to separate entities that have work together. Axle ratio has nothing to do with the transmission output. So I think they are BS’ing you.
Good luck with your truck, mine’s in the shop today getting a new radio.
Got my fingers crossed.
Hey there, read
your post about the issues you have had with your truck. I'm living the same nightmare it seems, only difference is I never took delivery of mine and ended up ordering a 2014 instead.
Wondering if I could ask you a coulpe of questions? Thats one already. Lol
I see you mentioned that they changed your gear ratio, just wondering what the did exactly? Just the ring and pinion or a whole rear/front end swap? Is your truck an 8 speed or a 6? I had an 8 speed ordered, came in with the wrong gear ratio and they tried to do a swap with another truck, front and rear end for 3.92 gears. Long story short they said Chrysler
told them they can't reprogram the 8 speed in the field to accept a different gear ratio.
Just wondering if they are bullsh****ing me or what the deal is. Lol
Thanks for your time
