Default Exhaust questions?!

I just had a flowmaster 50 series delta flow si/do put on my 06 ram 4.7 and they cut the old muffler off at the hanger in front of it and welded the flow on and put turn downs on and the sound seems to over power the cab at points. Will running tail pipes cure the drone or cab noise or is the muffler to far forward. Will a heat shield also block some drone from the back of the cab?

When I installed my Flowmaster system on my 2012 4.7 I drove it around for a day with the exhaust ending under the box of the truck (didn't have time to finish putting the last couple pipes and tips on). I definitely had a lot of drone and cab noise. Once I finished putting on the 45's and tips coming out behind the rear wheels the cab noise/drone decreased significantly. I would definitely recommend continuing your exhaust out the back if you want to reduce the cab noise.

At heat shield won't block any noise... the noise is coming out the pipes, not the side of the muffler.

Yes a tailpipe will help with drone. Heat shield will do nothing. Just as he said ^
