I like my truck too, but after buying trucks for over 40 yrs, I do think these things have too many 'bells and whistles'. Maybe computer geeks have replaced the engineers.

Hope they get it straightened out for you.

Well..the field tech said "No problem found". Gave the radio an update, disconnected the battery and reset the radio, checked to see if the radio bezel was touching the touch screen. Wow..that was worth it. Dealership: "Just see what happens now".
One thing the service dept mgr did say is that they are seeing quite a few problems with the 8.4, just haven't had to replace the radio 4 times like my truck. Now I think I'm getting the run around from Chrysler.

Hopefully yours is good!! Something is just not right with my truck. Maybe just a bad apple out of the bunch.
Was on a trip this weekend and everything locked up on the screen. Sort of sucked because I had to exit the highway, shut the truck off, open door and wait for everything to reset.
Fast forward to today....called the dealer and was told that they want to put another radio in. (this would be the 5th, yes 5th) I said "No" and finally got a call from someone at Chrysler that was willing to help. All in all the rep called back tonight and they are buying the truck back.
I will get another Ram and it will have the 8.4 radio with nav. I'll get a different color though..maybe that was the problem.

Didn't you know that? Ah, come on, everyone knows that the silver trucks are cursed.

Here's to getting what you want and in the color you want it. Oh, yeah, and that it works and is trouble free. Salute!

the antennas have been an issue
some people have had major static

others upgraded & lost volume

others upgraded & the upgrade changed screen color & they lost some stuff on the screen, actually they down graded instead of upgrading
they got Version 30 something & wanted 50 something
