Default fused dist. block??

hey guys..

any suggestions on a distribution block i can use? plan on hiding it in one of the glove compartments.

looking for something 8ga in and multiple fused 10/12/14 outs for accessories such as lighting (low and high power), ham radio, leds etc etc
digital v meter always a plus, matching ground block a bigger bonus yet

i already have a 150a breaker in the engine bay

thanx for your time

as far as the fuse block goes, I did similar in my truck but only for a 60A breaker. I got a couple fuse blocks from Autozone and put a 60A relay I had inline with the main B+ to the block so it cuts off with the key. the block itself is mounted in the back of my center console behind the panel for the rear AC vents. I used the other block as a ground block, not ideal but better than running multiple grounds to the body or chassis.

I used mine to power my radar detector on one circuit, secondary inverter(the factory one is crap) on another, DC cooler on another, air compressor for my Airlift 1000 on another, and have 4 slots still available for future needs.

also if you are not using it for anything else the compartment under the drivers side rear seat is just about the right size for the block. I put my compressor there or would have used it myself.

thanx for the reply

i'm using under the drivers seat for my ham rig...Yaesu 857D. the face i'll mount out in the open. The ham unit +/- both have to be run from battery so i'll run mine un-switched. Saves on rfi and ground loops i hear. The less alternator/injector/fuel pump noise the better and it pushes 100w too so the more direct juice the better lol

both rear compartments are usually filled with hitches and straps, gloves, rope and in my '11 it was also used to route the coax to the exterior. Small hole in the plastic plug and a bunch of "brown bread" to seal it up.

i'll see what princessauto has...anywhere else i've stopped didn't have a heck of a lot

thanx again for your input

i'll gladly post up some pics for ya...if i can find something that'll suit my needs
i'll see what i can find tonite. might mean hitting up a car stereo shop

if you search out a couple of my 2011 cb related threads tho, you'll see pics of the breaker i had and the single voltage link/display i was running. back then, being cb i would have run everything from the one leg and just in-line fused it, but with the Yeasu i wanna do it right = isolation
