Default Can I do this with these?

My 2004 laramie came with these chrome clad I suppose youd call them... is there a way to remove the outer "plastic chrome" and paint the underneath while still having the option to replace the plastic if I ever wanted to?

Thanks!

That is not chrome clad, Tyler. That is an aluminum polished wheel, which is what I have on my 05.

Plasti-Dip is a wonderful thing. I dipped my wheels and they are holding up really well. Have had to make a few repairs, but nothing major and the dip cleans up good too.
