Default 392 8 speed shifting

Any one notice hard down shifting with the 392 8 speed or is just me?
2011 392 down shifted some what hard in first gear at stops but the 8 speed seems to down shift quite a bit harder in going into first at stops.

From what I notice, you can definitely feel the downshifting (which I don't mind). I'm pretty sure the quicker I jam on the brakes, the harsher the downshift. If I coast into a red light I hardly notice at all. If I'm driving like a d-bag and get the brake pedal to the floor, I feel it much more.

I just never noticed it as much in 6 speed 2011 as I do in the 2014 8 speed I guess and if normal I'm good with it. Every thing else is as smooth as can be and really like the 14 Ram .

The trade to the 14 was for sure with it. This truck is awesome!!!

The three speed in my old 426 down shifted very firmly, just the way I liked it.

My 8 speed 2013 has noticeable down shifts while coasting to a red light. I didn't think of it as a problem, just different from previous vehicles I have had.

How quick is the 8 spd vs. the old 6 speed off the line?
