Great news! I went to the dealer today to discuss the mentioned panels. I said that I wanted to R/R the panels, so the service writer came out and took pictures to send to Chrysler; he told me he usually would not do it that way, but did not have a problem with me doing it. I was very happy, and will get him a gift card so he and his wife can go out to dinner. Everything should be in in a few days. Also, my step bars had arrived; now I can get in this beautiful machine with ease.

I will agree that scratches do happen, but the panel lock pins being bent is another. Real happy that you got your dealer to take care of you and your new truck man! I love it when a plan comes together!

That is great news. I like it, especially when you can DIY. Nice all on the gift card for your writer.

I always believe in taking care of people who do right by me; and yes, it is good when things go well. Yesterday I picked up the side steps (chrome) and today I planned on installing them. I was suspicious when I noticed the box had been taped twice; when I opened it, I discovered USED / CORRODED STEPS! I was beyond annoyed. I called the dealership and they were about as surprised as I was. Obviously someone switched steps and Chrysler shipped out the defective ones. They are ordering new ones and will be in sometime tomorrow. I am concerned about the durability of these steps involving corrosion after seeing the ones in the box. Maybe I should start a new topic on this?
