small engines, including motor cycles & boats are usually stored for part of the year
THAT is a Major problem with having Ethanol in your fuel

automotive engines are normally started at least 1 time a week

sweet corn, (the edible corn) is not usually used to make ethanol
field corn is used to make it
although the only part of sweet corn that is edible by humans, is the kernel on the ear
the stalk & the rest of the ear is devoured by farm animals & wild game
maybe the sugar content of the sweet corn makes it harder to process into fuel

GTyankee; you're making me crave corn on the cob with a slab of butter melting off the sides!

I am drooling over the venison from the deer that ate all the corn first

Well,

I tried twice last weekend to buy a new Ram. First time in my life I pulled the trigger on a new truck. Agreed on a price, put money down and then was told the truck (both were at other dealers) was sold. They couldn't find another I was interested in so no new Ram for now. I did decide to look at the 2014 Silverado and I noticed that their high end 6.2 motor needs 91 octane (versus Hemi 89) but that the 6.2 is rated for E15. I think Ram is making a mistake by not doing what it needs to do to get the Hemi rated for E15.

You guys like getting screwed by the ethanol farce. Try this one on:
Straight from the US dept. of Energy site Q&A regarding new vehicle testing:

Do EPA fuel economy estimates account for the use of ethanol blends that are common today?
No. The EPA fuel economy tests use 100 percent gasoline, and no adjustments are made to account for ethanol. Most conventional vehicles using E10 (10 percent ethanol) will experience a 3 to 4 percent reduction in fuel economy.
