Not sure, on my 2011 my options are OFF, ACC, RUN, and START. So if I'm tailgating I'll turn the key to RUN and let it go occasionally starting it up to make sure the battery doesn't die on me lol

Could you tell me what the actual dimensions of the factory NAV opening are? I have an extra non-nav bezel I am going to try and modify before I shell out $$ on an OEM NAV bezel.

Any pointers would be appreciated as well.

Thanks

Default RCA problems

i have an Alpine iDA-X305S head unit. I tested the RCA plugs and i am getting no signal at all from them. I went and bought new jacks and then tested those too and nothing so i have come to the conclusion that my head unit ports are bad. Is there anything i can do to fix this problem so my subs will work again. Besides hard wiring the subs to the back of the head unit? Or should i buy a new unit? is it common for them to stop working after a few years? please help

I have a 14" antenna on my truck, and thinking about putting in a signal booster for my fm antenna to make it a little better. Any recommendations? And will I need adapters for the connections on stock antenna (like these http://www.installer.com/item/displa...p?it=40-EU30)?

Or would I be better off going with a hidden antenna for better reception than using the stubby?

I have an 05 1500 slt QC with the 7 speakers. I want to add a sub woofer and re do all of the internal speakers. Would It be possible to put all 7 speakers to amps or is this impractical? And if it isn't what would be the best set up. 2-3 amps? Or... That's where I get stuck. Thanks

Hey Guys,

I need some advice swapping an RER to RHR in a 2010 Ram 2500. The install went fine. All the connections were good. Took to dealer for StarScan but the RHR wasnot listed as an option for my truck. The screen is black and does not function. Lights on the HU light but screen is black. I think I might have a Can Bus issue or a security code issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks!

Hi, wondering if you upgraded the sub and what you did. Thanks

Hey guys,

First post... many many more to come. I have been a premium member on the past two forumz...

I just purchased a 2013 Express Black Edition

It has the ~ 2013 RAM 1500 UCONNECT® 5.0/RA2

I believe it is a non amplified/ basic system. My issue i dont understand why when i go any louder than about 28 it distorts out and its like it is cutting itself back to protect it like my 8.4N alpine system did in my charger.... but that was a a feature built into the ALPINE AMPLIFIER in my charger... My RAM does NOT have a factory amp.

So what my question is... Is it the speakers that are distorting out??? or the headunit keeping the audio levels adjusted to keep from blowing the speakers?? I am going to replace whatever necessary.

My other question is if i add an aftermarket headunit what happens to my uconnect menus built into the OEM radio? what all will be lost?
