Default RAM website : horrible color representation

For one the colors on the website aren't even close to how they look on the trucks.

#2, if you can't order a 2013 anymore, what the heck is with the website not showing 2014 info..I know you can override to get to the 2014 order guide but lets' get up to speed.

I am still amazed I could not get a met green on an Outdoorman 2500.......as matter of fact, can't get green at all without paying an up-charge and waiting forever for a truck.

I think color really depends on your PC. I know color representation on my laptop sux! I use my work PC, and it's much closer to the real thing... Not perfect, but much closer.

1. Representing real life colors on the web is nearly impossible.
2. 2013's are still on the lot which is why that is still up.
3. 2014 info is coming *very* soon.

Thanks. I wasn't aware that is what triggers the 2014 truck info on the website. I guess for folk that want a 2013 they need to configure and search inventory to find what's on the lots

Still, since 2014 ordering is open, it'd be nice to have access to data as accurate as what the dealer has. I understand I can go to the dealer to get the final word on ordering options, etc. But what if I want to do my homework before I step foot in the dealership?
I think it's possible with a number of different sites, and the help of the folks in these forums. But it takes dedication. And time.

Yeah, vehicle color representation on manufacturer's webpages is [somewhat] dependent on screen resolution/quality.

Even with a top notch screen, the depiction and what you actually will see/get in person can be distant.

Drop in and see the color in person.

I found this out first hand when I purchased my Tahoe in 2011.

The problem is that the colors on Ram's Web site--especially in the build tool--are not just a little off...they're grossly inaccurate. Dodge and Jeep Web sites suffer from the same. I don't expect them to be perfect, but they could certainly be a heck of a lot closer.

I find that it helps to look for pictures here, videos on YouTube, or similar cars on eBay for reference.

I know I would not have ever chose the Granite Crystal Metallic if I only saw it online...I was lucky enough to see it the 1st time on a dealer lot and fell in love...

Delmonico Red suggests RED paint, not effin Maroon
