Default Headlight replacement

Hi all, recently purchase a 2009 SLT 4x4 QC hemi, traded a 2006 4x2 QC hemi in for this one. Overall I love this new truck, seems much more refined then my 06, which I still liked but needed a 4x4, Anyway I'm not real impressed with the headlights, I have the standard 1 bulb in each headlight and fog lights. I was going to start by replacing the fogs as they are real easy, not looking to do HID as they seem to have issues. Anybody do any replacements with non-HID's and any suggestions. I purchased the 9006SU Silverstar ULTRA for Ultra Night Vision for the fog replacement because the Sylvania website said this is the one for my fogs, they are wrong, they will not connect because of a double bar instead of a single in the connection end, so back they go today. I'm open to suggestions.

I just double checked the Chrysler part number and the driving lamps come up as a 9006 as Sylvania says. No idea what's up with that.

The 9006 will not fit in my fog light electrical connection. There is a single bar in the female (truck end) socket separating the two poles and a single slot on the male light assembly, the 9006su I bought has a double slot on the light, other then that they would look like a perfect fit

Does your truck have the 2 or 4 headlamp system? under 2 it says to use 9006....but i havent seen a 2 healamp system with fog lights...however....under the 4 headlamp system it calls for a 9145 or a 9145 ST(which is the brighter if the 2). Hope this helps...

Your existing bulb should have the part number engraved on the base. It might be possible you just happened to get a package that didn't have the right bulbs from the packaging plant. Or maybe Sylvania has come up with their own base design for a "special" bulb...?
Can you file off the bar you referred to? If it's just an alignment device you should be able to with no problem.

Regarding the slots, I posted everything backward regarding which has which, the truck needs the double bars, which IS THE 9005 bulb. exchanged them out today, will see how they go. I have read these bulbs look great but don't last very long.

Default 2009 bulb part numbers

These are the correct bulb part numbers taken directly off of the factory bulbs. You should be able to find these numbers from any bulb manufacturer.

H11 = Low
9005 = High
H10 = Fog
