Default 2013 Under Hood Fuse Box Engine On Location

I am going to purchase some LED DRLs that need a hot wire and ground. I need a location in the fuse box under the hood to tap into for a hot wire that is only on when the engine is started. Or a wire or fuse box location when the transmission is in drive only but I think that may be a long shot.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

The new Ram's are not very friendly when tapping into wires for power. More times it causes computer problems and light up warning lights on your dash or worse. Best bet is to use a relay powered at the fuse block battery terminal connection post. Then you can use a trigger wire attached to your switched source of your choice. Attach the LED lights to the relay. Only 4 easy wires and a inline fuse that will eliminate problems.

As far as wanting to use a wire when in drive??? I have never looked.

altho...if you're one to normally use your e-brake, you could wire the relay to the e-brake switch. Then they're lit when the e-brake is off, and off when engaged

this is following gsscott's advice of running a relay direct from the battery
