I'm the original owner of my 2002 SLT (2 wheel drive), with a mostly stock 4.7l Cali-Emissions Durango.
I have 151,000 miles on it, with no major repairs except a couple of broken valve cover bolts, rack & pinion steering, new Cam Position Sensor (3x), Transmission Position Sensor, Cranshaft Position Sensor and ANYTHING with a circuit board inside it. Other than that, it runs great. I've been running full synthetic oil since 75,000 miles and I had the tranny flushed (and both filters replaced) at 120,000 miles.
Only mods: K&N Air Filter and a JET Stage 1 chip.
It squeaks and rattles, but I love the ride and I can haul eight people if a couple of them are midgets.
I'm hoping the transmission will give out eventually so I'll have an excuse to sell it. My wife hates riding in it, but she's more of Mercedes kinda gal.
