Default Dent in Hood

Ok, so I was outside working on something late in the evening. The light must have been perfect because I saw a dent in my hood. It is not noticeable unless you look at it in exactly the correct lighting. This is frustrating because this truck is always inside during a hail storm, and I have never been in an accident. The sheet metal on this thing is super weak.

Any ideas on how to get this out?

Hows the paint? Scratched off? Maybe you could get a suction device and pull it

That is what I am thinking and if so you could do it yourself or as Alberto mentioned body shops can typically do it for not a lot of $.

The paint is not scratched or anything which is why I probably didn't see it sooner.

I didn't have time tonight to look under the hood, but I wonder if popping it out from underneath would be easier?

Eh, who am I kidding? I should probably just take it in so I don't screw it up worse...

Thanks for the ideas!

Clean the hood good get a hot glue gun and a small dowel rod. Then cut it off about 8 inches. Dab a little glue on the end of the rod and quickly stick it in the center in the ding. Let it set and cool. Lift ever so slightly DONT rest your elbows on the hood or you will be fixing two more dents. Use alcohol to release the glue.

Some gules are not the same. Try what you have on the bed floor and make sure the alcohol releases it good.

This is all the pdr guys use except the have throw away tabs.

Be very careful! Our hoods are aluminum and very easy to mess up. Good luck!

If you can't seem to notice it, why mess with it anymore. The hoods on the rams flex like crazy. I have a feeling it will pull the bent up more than you want and leave a bulge. I would get someone with experience to do it. Sometimes do it yourself projects cost more in the long run.
