Its gone, straight pipe from the cat(s) to the muffler, then stock tailpipe.

My 08 4.7 sounded really good also, so people always thought I had aftermarket exhaust. If you measure your muffler, I believe the can measures about 32" and is pretty round. That's what my stock one measured anyways and I had a resonator at the tailpipe.

Yea my 06 Ram 1500 with the 4.7 sound like that too. And its really nice to have something that sounds that good factory. And yes Dodge’s do sound a whole lot better and meaner for factory than GM’s or Ford’s

I do not see a resonator on my 1500 SLT 2009 4.7. Just cats, pipe and one muffler from the factory.

Am I missing something?

Your resonator is right near your tailpipe. About a foot back from your exhaust tip.

i had a 2008 4.7L with 3 inch from the collector through a high flow cat, then flowmaster 1 in two out 3 inch to duals out the back like a sport, it sounded awesome, with a CAI and superchips cortex, i could almost keep up to the newer hemi's.....now i've got a 2013 hemi crewcab, and i'd never go back, but i did like that truck
