I don't understand why one person has no problem and another, mirrored truck, has a problem installing the same model part?

The M1-210 fit my truck perfectly. My error though in my first reply to this post, my truck has the six speed tranny. My mouth over rode my brain. But why would dodge change the oil filter size when all they did was change the transmission to an 8 speed. It doesn't seem that it would be very cost effective to change the same 5.7L Hemi motors filter size just because you changed the transmission on basically the same truck. Or am I missing something here?

You're reading WAY TOO much into the OEM oil filter size. More likely than not, Mobil was able to supply the 113 filter to Dodge for some convenient reason.
Don't dwell on a question with no answer.
Another forum member posted the part# to a ROBUST Royal Purple oil filter.

so from What I am reading I guess it does fit? I hope it does, I have a 2013 Sport with 8-spd trans, and since I prefer to do my own oil changes, I bought 2 m1-210 from amazon for like $15 a few months ago. I would like to know prior to getting under the truck to find out it wont fit. Thanks all!

LOL I don't think anyone has tried it to see if it works.
Now there are two M1 # involved. Which one actually fits the 6 speed?

Jim 45498 the M1-210 fit my 6 speed perfectly. It is a larger capacity than the original but the O-ring is the same size as the oem. Hasn't leaked 1 drop yet.

The M1-210 fits fine on the 2013 5.7, and that's what I use on mine.

The threads are the same and although the O-ring is *slightly* larger in diameter than the smaller factory filter, the mating surface on the engine has enough surface area to seal properly with the larger M1-210. - I'll post pics here shortly.
