Default Radio hard drive

Purchased new 2012 Ram Laramie which is my 5th Ram in 10 years. One of the main features I liked was the radio which has a hard drive where you can copy CD's and USB music to files for playback. When I copy from a CD or USB to the hard drive some of the songs have the ending cut short (cuts off the ending early). Has anyone had this problem and / or been able to get a fix? Thanks

Short answer - No. I copied all the music out of my Microsoft Media Center in bulk and directly on to the hard disk drive. I don't have any problems with the music ending early and while I haven't played everything I have played a lot of the songs. What format are you using? All mine are MP3's. Also the files were arranged in album folders so the maximum folder depth is 1. I have heard of some people having trouble when they tried to use multiple folder levels such as having a Willie Nelson folder, folders for all his albums under that, and then the individual music files in the album folders.

Thanks. Both CD and USB were in MP3 format. They play without any problems when playing the cd's or USB. Only having the problem when playing from the hard drive.

Do you have the latest firmware installed for the radio? I have no idea if that would make any difference but it's the only thing I can think of. If It were mine I would load the songs from the CD/USB again. If they play correctly from the actual device then there is a possibility that they didn't get loaded on to the hard drive completely for some unknown reason.

what are the 3 letters on the radios face, lower right corner, near the Aux port

it will be RHR, RER, RHB, RBZ, or REN
i don't believe it would be either of the RES radios
