Default My 2010/2011 List of Mods

Hey guys, I was bored tonight after not being able to sleep so I made a "never complete" list of mods I would like to do next year and 2011. I would appreciate any advise, feedback, suggestions, or just comments on what everyone thinks. So with out further-a-doo I give you my list of mods:

BFI CAI - $400
AirRam 180* Thermostat - $43 (#10177)
AirRam Flex-a-lite 180 X-treme Fan - $305 (#180)
AirRam EBC Front Brake Rotors - $212 (#USR7105)
AirRam EBC GreenStuff 7000 Front Brakes - $104 (#DP71638)
Stylin Truck Speed Bleeder w/bag - $50 (#639560RUS) (#639500RUS)
Russell Performance Street Legal Brake Line Kit from Summit Racing $124 (#RUS-694510)
Summit Racing Flowmaster Exhuast Muffler - $76 (#FLO-325108) *going to try to get body shop to install piping
Summit Racing Ready Lift 2.5 Leveling Kit - $230 (#RLS-66-1020)
Summit Racing Nerf Bars - $200 (#SUM-71014316)

Eventually I will put 33" Toyo AT Tires and maybe either 18" or 20" Rims. Undecided on that part. Obviously this is in no particular order but just a few things I came up with this evening. I can't wait to hear from everyone on what they think. My biggest debate is with the exhaust muffler. Summit Racing has an exhaust kit (#FLO-17424) for $390 but I would think that a muffler shop could install everything for less than $300. Anyway that's all from me tonight. Everyone take care, only a few more days till Santa comes and visits us all with a sack full of our most favorite modifications we're all dreaming of!

What's the difference between a k & n cai and a bfi cai? Also, what is a stylin truck speed bleeder?

K&N and BFI are two different companies that make cold air intakes. K&N is a larger company, but BFI makes them tailored to our engines. Many people on here prefer the BFI intake, but it is more expensive than the K&N. Although I wasn't aware that the BFI intake was available for the 4.7L, I thought it was only available for the 5.7 HEMI. Am I wrong?

And i'm not sure but I'm assuming 'stylin truck' is the brand name and it is a speed bleeder for your brake lines. Helps you bleed out the brake lines faster, again, i'm assuming.

They do make them for 4.7's. I have the BFI for my 4.7 and I love it.

Here is the link for the Stylin Trucks Speed Bleeder http://www.stylintrucks.com/part.aspx?partid=488590
I didn't mention that I'm also planning on upgrading my brake lines to the Russell Street Legal Brake Line Kit from Summit Racing (#RUS-694510) for $124 That will probably be towards that later part of 2010. Now all I have to do is convince the wife that these modifications will "save me money" in the long run! LOL We'll see, I'll keep everyone updated as I install these components, with pictures of course!! Take care all!

Great list! Good idea on the brake lines. It's amazing what a difference those can make in brake performance!

You have a good list there. I also run EBC green stuff pads, and they're worth every penny. Upgrading the brake lines is a good idea as well. With the rest of the mods, I think you'll have a great ride.

Yeah those braided steel brake lines will look pretty good too, especially if you have an open wheel design.

That is a good line about how it will save you money in the long run, just don't tell her how long it will take to make up that money. It might take longer than you think, but I won't tell, lol.
