Its not that restrictive, its like a old turbo muffler, where exhaust changes directions twice.

No, mine is un-cut under the truck. This is from the 2010 RAM posting "Now u can c inside your OEM muffler I cut open".
To me our stock muffler is like the Walker Turbo muffler, exhaust goes in, hits a wall, reverses, hits another wall, reverses and goes out. And if you will notice the louvers in the 3" inlet pipe and the two 2 1/4" outlet pipes, when pressure builds up high enough the exhaust as well as the sound bleed thru and makes that nice rap/growl sound. Its plenty big for 99% of "my" driving with no drone, and still sounds great when I stomp on it.

I wonder how much different a Sport or R/T muffler is, they are supposed to have a more "aggressive" tone.

The chamber where the 3" pipe stops inside the muffler is bigger. The chamber where the two 2 1/4" pipes is smaller.

It's an intake. You did not get any noticeable gains and your mileage went down cause you keep putting your foot in the gas pedal to hear the new fun noise it makes.
Can I get the budget version of that ebay setup? Leave off the extra horses and just give me +45 mpg.

I actually cut the left 3" in side open at the seam and then cut 6"out of the muffler and cut the 3 internal pipes at a 45* angle and then welded it back shut. It is now 6" shorter and flows a lot better and has good tone and no drone. I did this after the aftermarket stainless muffler pissed me off with the drone it had. Anyone want a stainless with drone?

Definitely an engineers challenge to design an exhaust that optimizes widely spaced return pulse waves during MDS mode, and also not hurt high rpm HP #'s.
