Default Ram Emblem

Is the RAM Head emblem on the 2013 tailgate recessed slightly or held in by pins or anything. I was wanting to debadge this area for a clean look, but can't tell if it will be flat & hole-less underneath. Anybody had theirs off or done this?

thanks for the ideas! I might check out plasti-dip. I was also thinking of scotch-brite to give a brushed aluminum look. I think I saw a member on here that did that.

That's a great idea, I would be afraid to try it though...
