Default Starting Problem

My 2011 Ram 1500 Hemi does not always start, turn key will hear click, it may start next try or after several tries, sometimes after waiting for a short time. It's been to dealer three times they can't recreate problem or figure it out. ny IdeaS?

Intermittent problems are always tough to diagnose until the part completely fails. But if it were mine, I would check the basics. Battery voltages, key off, and key on, Fuses, Starter relay, starter connections and wiring. That includes the park/neutral safety switch as well. Might just need adjustment, worst case, replacement. Good luck and keep us informed of your findings.

^^^^^What Gantman said. Have you popped the hood lately and checked for corrosion on your battery terminals? It takes a lot of CCA to get those Hemi's turning. And even a little corrosion could affect the connection.

my truck has been doing hat since day one. Dealer cannot duplicate. I have 135000 miles now and it still does it every now and then. My husband thought I was crazy until it happened to him. We have changed out ignition switch cleaned cables and even checked wiring...nothing.
