Looks good.
You might want to put a filter on the crank case breather, just to make sure nothing goes in there though.

Can you swing the pipe and point the filter down more near the front? That may help in gaining more air flow through the grill. Put a heat sheild since it will be by the radiator.

Thanks, it is mandrel bent. I will be enclosing the air filter soon. So far, I think there might be an increase in fuel economy... Got 95 miles to the quarter tank today. don't think i have gotten that much before. I will know for sure by Friday if there are gains as it sits.

Mandrel style bends without any kinks shouldnt really have a negative effect on airflow. I agree that there needs to be a box surrounding the cone to keep hot air out. That's a great looking setup.

Update: I dont have exact numbers yet, but it appears that my mileage may have gone up a bit. my display is reading a higher MPG number and i think i have driven more miles for the amount of fuel used. I will be fueling up tomorrow morning and getting an actual number. I am excited at the potential for increased MPG if i can see a gain as it sits (open filter in engine bay). this weekend i will fab an airbox and see if i net any gains throughout the week week.

Nice setup, but those bends are restricting a bit of airflow...But, like what was said, its not a big deal, and you seem to be getting more mpg out of it anyway...I would try to position the air filter a little bit lower in the engine compartment too, if your able too...
