30 psi compression in cyl 8. 2000 ram 5.9
hey guys, i just got the crappy results from my at home compression test. im getting 150 psi out of every cylinder except for number 8...which read 30 psi. i hear stories of 100 psi and having to to lifters valves or seats ext.... but i feel like with the 30 psi reading im getting, that the issue is way more severe than what other people are having. i am also loosing coolant also. im also not burning oil either. so that may rule out piston ring, but the coolant loss could point to a head gasket failure???? let me know what you guys think.
its easy to pump up the cooling system with the rental tools from an auto parts house. this could rule out one of your problems. then just replace the junk stock heads with iron EQs to fix you valve issues!
