..hehe...you can try and get there with 22's but rolling mass is huge, especially compared to a 17" wheel, no matter how short a tire you go with. What gearing came with your truck that your gonna run 22's..definitely should run 4.56's to help negate that mass....

Wow surprised to see my old thread pop up. Inever ran in the quarter mile. But if you can get your 60 ft down to 1.8 flat like I did at the 500ft track like I did against a 2014 ford mustang 5.0. And only lose by 2 tenths. You run in the 13s. My mods at the time was 3000 stall, thermostat, no muffler, ported throttle body.cai, and at the time 93 octane tune and tranny tune from whitening.. (no longer using him). I ran a 7.3 to the mustangs 7.1 he was also tuned. And he was a automatic. So not really a driver mod. And they easily run low 13s . So at the time with the mods I had I was running mid to high 13s. But my truck is now retired from racing for now. Might pull a micheal jorden on her in the future though.

Wonder what a 14 will do with that new 8 speed? They have a required 3.21 rear end but that new transmission has some kick ass low gearing.

8 speed sounds interesting. Bracket racing is all about consistancy. All that shifting becomes a variable. That's part of the reason many bracket guys want to run a power glide. Still, could have some good times though.
