Default Anti spin

Several years ago (like 10) there was an issue with "clips" in the antispin rear ends falling out and getting ground up and ruining the gears. I'm looking at ordering a 2014 and one option I'm considering is antispin. Does anyone know if this issue ever got solved or does it still happen in the 2009+ trucks

Starting in the 2013's Chrysler has used a TorSen style LSD rather than a clutch pack style LSD. This eliminates the problems you are asking about, however it makes it a lot more expensive and difficult to change your diff gearing if you ever want to do that. The 2009-2012 LSDs use clutch packs.

I've never had an issue with my 2009, I'm not hard on it though and only have a little over 50,000 miles on it.

In the 2014 owners manual it says you need to add friction modifier on a 1500 antispin but not for the 2500/3500. The only time I have seen that you need a friction modifier is with a clutch type LSD. My Chevy has a factory locker (not a clutch type) and doesn't need modifier. If the 1500 had a TorSen would it still need a modifier?

I noticed that too but to be honest I don't know the answer.

i can say the LSD it totally different from 2003 Laramie over the 2011 and 2014 when driving and breaking rear wheels loose!!! The 2003 never spun at first near like the 11 and 14 does.

I was at the local Ram dealer today and I asked the parts guy to look up a 2014 1500 rear end. Looking at the parts diagram it showed a clutch plate pack? That does't seem to line up with people with anit spin saying they jack it up and spin one wheel and the other spins the opposite direction like an open diff. I wonder if the diagram is wrong?

Sounds like a clutch Diff to me. Mine does spind very much at all ,but it does if you nail it hard. But if you try a break Rev it will not break loose.
