I just bought a 2010 crew cab 4x4 with the 4.7. Completely stock with 17" wheels. I average 17-18 mpg on back roads and 19-20 on the highway. I drive slower than I used to and don't have to deal with stop and go rush hour traffic. So don't expect those numbers if you do. I call it my city truck.

Default Thanks guys, looks as if 2010's are popular

Everyone I've spoken to, say the 2010's are a good lot. Same mileage numbers (stock) yet none of my friends have a lift. Interstate at 20 mpg sounds like a good number (Astrates with a 6" lift is great feedback on the mileage). I'm assuming cruise control is also a factor.

This guy gets his lumber from Loretto Lumber and it doesn't seem to make the truck grunt when loaded (but I didn't ask him the weight).

My 2011 CC 4X4 in ST trim with 4.7, 3.55 gears, 2" levelling kit, and big bumper and 34" E-rated AT tires gets about 13 in town, and about 19 on the highway if I keep my foot out of it and use cruise control. See the pic below for my rig.

My dad just got a 2013 QC 4X4 in SLT trim with the Pentastar and 8 speed, and with a cap on the back gets a legit 20mpg around town and 28-29 average on the highway (it has less than 3000 miles on it right now; those numbers (dealer sticker) says his truck should pull 33mpg highway and around 22 in the city. With the 98 liter (23 gallon?) tank, we just did 500km (about 310 miles) at 110km/h (68mph) and the EVIC says he still had more than a half a tank of gas when we got home.

I'd take that mileage over mine any day. I'm impressed enough I might trade mine in, although I still want to see what the numbers are going to be like for the 2014 with the diesel.

^that's incorrect, the pentastar is rated at 25mpg max IIRC. No way he's getting 30. Our jeep is about half the weight and gets about 20 on the highway, 16 city. My ram gets roughly the same. Slightly worse maybe in the city and slightly better maybe on the highway.

Nice mileage numbers (I'm proud of my diesel when I hit interstate mpg no load numbers as described). I've got a buddy who owns the only Dodge dealership in town and he thinks KBB values will take a big jump on 2008's and up for the 4.7's with odometer less than 110,000. R...

I'll have to double check his sticker, but I'm almost 100% certain the numbers I quoted are correct. Might be a difference between calculations for the US gallon vs. the Imperial gallon? Also, the way fuel economy is rated in the US by the DOT is different than what's done here in Canada. He gets 7.7-8 liters per 100km at just over 105km/h. Where I live is flat as a pancake for hours in any direction, so it never really goes above 8.5-9/100km even going up a slight grade. Still, miles better than my 2011 with the 4.7.
