i have always wanted to put a projector in my headlights since im such a fanatic with hids but last i remember seeing was you had to vacuum mold hot plastic around the projector to hold it in place. have i been under a rock the past few years and now all that holds the projector in are 3 screws or is there a part during the fabrication that i missed?

It all depends on the after market projector you buy, there are some that you just cut you your existing reflectors and then the projector itself is threaded with a jam nut and it holds itself like that.

but you can also buy other projectors that have mounting tabs that you have to use screws and fabricate mounts inside of the base

it just comes down to how you feel comfortable mounting them in your housing.
