Default surging at highway speeds

I'm not sure if this is normal or not but I will be cruising down the road at 100kph and the tach will start jumping up and down aprox 300-400 rpm. Is this the Mds working or do I have a problem??? It is very concerning and annoying....

it doesn't seem normal to me
maybe some SEA FOAM will correct it somewhat, it is on the shelf with the other Fuel Injector Cleaners at the auto parts stores
I would not put it into the oil, as it suggests in the directions

When I was doing research on MDS on the 5.7 06 and newer for a buddy of mine, it could be a slight surge once 100-200 rpm's but many did not notice. This sounds more like "cycling". You should note GT'S profile and best I recall he's cracking 90,000 miles plus. I know these guys assured me over the issue. R...SEAFOAM all vehicles, I do every three months.

It reminds me of a torque converter locking up and unlocking!!! Thinking I might buy a programmer to shut off mds. Anyone have recommendations on type of programmer???

A Diablo tuner should let you turn MDS off. I've driven my friend's 06 with mds and it was very seamless, like my Dodge Magnum. I can get 1 or 2 more mpgs with the 06 than my non mds 05. I'd try the SeaFoam and maybe spark plugs? 1 thing that I noticed with my Magnum, as I modified it for more power, it will stay in 4 cyl mode all the time it seems unless a hill or I accelerate. Cruising, especially with cruise control it will stay in 4 cyl mode most of the time. After market cam, LT headers,Borla cat back, gutted cats, LMI type CAI and custom dyno tune gave me 65 more rwhp over stock, been averaging 22- over 24 mpg . I think you may lose 1-2 mpg by turning it off

i can't hear or feel my mds......i've driven in six on manual to defeat it like i've read about on here, and i honestly have never seen a difference in fuel economy.........my truck is pretty new though so maybe as time goes on its less seamless......i have certainly noticed a different in how smooth my transmission shifts in the 20,000 km's i have put on my 2013 with 65rfe
