Default question about shocks with OS tires and symantics

I don't think so, but I always ask, I upgraded to 35" tires on the 17" wheels. Do I have to account for this with different shocks? Either way? is there a way to compensate for that hellatious shimmy when I hit a medium sized pothole on an expressway at 70 mph? Feels like the truck shakes side to side for a second or two.

I know it is time to change shocks, 140K miles. Are the front shocks easy to change out by yourself, for an air conditioning mechanic, familiar with most tools?

You don't really have to account for increased tire size/weight with shocks. But I'd recommend the Bilstein 5100's, they'll ride much nicer than stock.

As far as the shimmy goes a steering stabilizer will help you more than shocks. I'm assuming your truck is leveled? If so how was it done? Longer springs or spacers? When you order new shocks you will want to account for that. Then if it is leveled and an adjustable track bar wasn't put on to center the front axle then you might want to get one of those too.

The job is fairly easy to do. As long you know how to handle tools you shouldn't have a problem. All you have to do is drop the front axle and pull out the springs and shocks then install the new ones
