Default 2010 vs 2012 17" Rims

I recently purchased 4 of the aluminum type 17" rims rims for my 2012 ram 1500 with 285/70r17 Cooper ST MAXX tires to replace the factory steel rims with wrangler sra 265/70r17. Every tire store told me that these trucks can fit up to a 285 tire but i installed them and noticed that the tire is super close and at times rubbing on the top of the steering knuckle where it meets the control arm. Does anyone know if these 2 rims had different offset/backspacing? the rims i bought are from a 2010. Also, the truck now pulls heavy to the right.
