so i got my truck back yesterday all seems to be good. but one thing... so when i picked my truck up the service manager comes up to me to formally apologize which i thought was cool and then as an apology he said that they took the liberty to detail my truck free of charge. so im like oh sweet they bring my truck around and it looks like it was buffed with an SOS pad... im like wtf wow! the truck is mechanically fixed but i couldnt imagine leaving it with these idiots any longer so looks like i got my work cut out for me this weekend...

change of plans... today i went to get into my truck and its worse then i thought.... my paint looks like its ruined... on top of that the tail lights i just blacked out are scratched the worst! in all honesty it truly looks like they washed my truck with the back side of a kitchen sponge (the abrasive side)! and thats not exaduration. so im absolutely pissed! the ketchup stain is one thing i actually got that out with some folex but the paint is completely to sh!t. i called the service manager again today with this problem and he said i come down so he can take a look at it. he notices what im talking about and has me go with the quality control specialist to the detailer to find out how long it will take. so we go back and i cant even describe to you how rude this guy was. im not just saying he was rude because im a disgruntled customer either he was truly rude! first he was saying that they used brand new rags to clean my truck and that i must of done it im like what were the rags made out of steel wool?!?! he then said that its normal for a black truck to look like that and if id like he would be happy to show me all the other black cars on the lot. so i told him well doesnt that tell you something??? if all the cars look like this its because youre doing something wrong. then he starts saying that he will buff it but its gonna look worse then before... at this point i lot my marbles. so i went to the service manage and told him how rude this guy is to men and i didnt ask for him to fu*k up my truck so why am i being treated like a criminal. i then told him that i dont feel comfortable with that particular person touching my truck. he insists everything will be fine and if he cant fix it that he will have a professional come out and fix it. so i tell him what is he not a professional??? long story short i ended it with if my truck comes back any worse then you guys made it im going straight to a body shop to have it fixed making an insurance claim and settling this all in court. i am so incredibly pissed off at this point

You never, ever, have a dealership clean your vehicle in any shape or form! Hop over on some car detailing boards and read the horror stories of people who whistle the same tune as your experience here.

I don't understand why you keep going back to the same dealership time and time again when all they've done - each visit - is bent you over without lubricant..... every time!

Please help me figure this one out..... ???

This is a warranty issue [as you claim] covered by the manufacturer; NOT the dealership.

With all due respect, you remind me of the niece - all grown up now - who still gives hugs and kisses at the annual Thanksgiving family get-together, to the [very] same uncle who raped her over and over back in the day.

I'm sorry for being so blunt, but I don't sugar coat it.

You make your own bed....

If nothing else, you thread's contents are a learning experience for many.

Good luck in your endeavors.

Sincerely.

Grub out.

i see where you are coming from but the reason i keep taking it back to the same dealership is for them to fix the mess that they made. i kept taking it back to them for the trans because they couldnt figure it out the first time and i had already paid. in regards to them washing it if they asked if id like it washed id tell them to fly a kite. i take a lot of pride in my truck and the only person that details it is me because no one would be as meticulous as me. as it stands with the swirls and scratches they caused i want to have them fix it because i shouldnt have to pay for it to have some one else do it and if i did it my self it would take hours to buff polish and wax out all those scuffs. its a problem that they made so im holding them responsible.
